This project aims to enhance the teaching and learning experience in the course of Comparative Politics course by developing a Digital Case Study Library and implementing a Flipped Classroom model for select lectures. Comparative Politics often requires students to analyze political systems and events from diverse countries, many of which are unfamiliar to them. The Digital Case Study Library will serve as an interactive repository of multimedia-enhanced case studies (e.g., articles, infographics), providing students with the resources to explore a variety of political systems and historical events at their own pace. This resource will allow for in-depth discussion during lecture time. Additionally, the Flipped Classroom approach will be applied to two key lectures, where students will review pre-recorded video content introducing fundamental concepts and theories before class. In-class time will be reserved for discussions, debates, and case analysis, fostering critical thinking and active learning. The project’s case study library can be adopted by other relevant courses at Lingnan University and beyond, contributing to broader pedagogical innovation.
