Abstract

This project seeks to integrate Artificial Intelligence-generated content (AIGC) into sustainable business education, with a specific focus on Sustainable Development Goal 12 (SDG #12): Responsible Consumption and Production. We will explore how AIGC can enhance business students’ learning in two essential areas: responsible consumption and production. First, we will investigate the impact of AIGC on students’ understanding of responsible consumption. In consumer behavior courses, we will examine how AI-generated content can enrich students’ learning of the concepts, theories, and implications surrounding sustainable consumption. By facilitating critical discussions about consumption patterns, AIGC will enable students to grasp the broader environmental and societal effects of their decisions. Second, the project will focus on sustainable production, guiding students in the design of innovative and environmentally friendly products and services. We will assess how AIGC can support students in generating creative design ideas and recommending sustainable practices throughout the product life cycle. Through this initiative, we aim to deepen students’ understanding of sustainable practices while equipping them with the technological tools needed to foster innovation in responsible consumption and production. Ultimately, our goal is to prepare future business leaders to utilize AI tools in promoting sustainability within their professional careers. This research will contribute to the growing body of knowledge on the integration of technology in education and its implications for sustainability in business.
